In honor of Tim “Tex” Texter

On The morning of Feb 8, 2023, Tim collapsed while working. Despite the immediate efforts of first responders, he unfortunately passed at UPMC Passavant in Cranberry. Tim has had many passion projects over the years, but by far his greatest passion was his family. Christina, Gino, and Nicolina are deeply grieving this terrible and unexpected loss. Tim was always willing to help out a friend. He was a dedicated son, husband, father, son in law, brother, brother in law, uncle, friend, and coach. Tim was a huge supporter of the Pittsburgh Hockey community, and was always willing to properly sharpen skates, nurture players, and offer advice. He loved the game and encouraging others to love it as well in his pick up leagues, Texter Cup, and the infamous Turkey Bowl played each thanksgiving day.

Given the sudden passing, I am organizing this GoFundMe page for any donations that you would find it in your heart to give, for the funeral and memorial arrangement or to be used at the discretion of the family.

Tim was always willing to lend a hand. He loves to tinker in his woodshop in the garage, supported his father, loved his wife and his rock, spoiled his little princess Lina, and worked tirelessly to support Gino in all of his hockey dreams.

May perpetual light, shine upon Tim. Please lift Christina, Gino, Nicolina, his father Bob, and his families and friends up in your prayers as we grieve this immensely tragic and sudden loss.
