In honor of Tim Souders
This is a memorial fund for Timothy Souders.
Tim was an amazing person to so many and he dedicated his life to helping others. Tim spent over 21 years serving in the Air Force, then moved on to run a business that focused on helping the elderly receive what they needed to be successful in their retirement years. He is remembered as a loving husband to his wife Donna for over 30 years, the best father to his two surviving children Holly and Ryan, and a caring and involved grandfather to three wonderful young men. Some of his children's most treasured memories are of him spending time playing games they had made up together, such as "Run, Boy!" where their father would chase them around the house trying to get them with a pillow. If you got caught, you lost, and you always got caught!
Tim was also an avid believer in Our Mighty God with a faith that never waivered but knew how to share his faith without making others feel pressured to believe the same as he. He just loved everybody and his love for Yahweh shined through in his way of life. He knew no stranger and was a good friend to everyone!
Many of his friends know of his love for movies and his ability to remember iconic quotes. Tim played "Name That Quote" often and would always pretend to be disappointed if you weren't able to. But he was never really disappointed in the people he loved. They meant the world to him and it showed in the way that he was always there for them when they needed him. The world that he loved to travel and share with his family is a different place without his presence.
The last three weeks of his life, Tim spent fighting with everything he had to stay alive while in the hospital. The events that led to his passing were unexpected and difficult for everyone involved. So many have reached out to see how they can help the family as they process this enormous loss. I have been asked to set up this account in an effort to relieve his family of the financial responsibility of his passing. During his time at the hospital, he received a lot of care which unfortunately means there will be significant bills. Then there is the all of the costs of having a memorial service so that everyone who loved him will be able to receive some closure.
The best way you can help his family at this time is to donate what you feel is an appropriate amount, nothing is too little or too much, to help them with the medical and memorial expenses as he fought until the very end to stay with his family. He lived longer than any of the medical staff anticipated because he was a fighter!
Please consider giving in honor of the late Timothy Souders.
