In honor of the Father Daughter Dance

Hi my name is Rachel Wolf Todd and I’m setting up this go fund me for a friend who is experiencing losing her dad. I lost my daddy James Wolf 8 years ago to pancreatic cancer on October 29th 2013. My dad was my hero, and my best friend and losing him was/is one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. He was the kindest most loving man, he was the type who would give the shirt off this back to help someone he didn’t even know. I miss him every single day. There isn’t one day that I don’t. I keep his memory live though, by talking about him often and remembering his words “just another day in Paradise” and “it’s all good”. He was the dancing dr who still did house calls and wouldn’t take free trips and stuff from pharmaceutical companies.. because he wanted the medication to be affordable to the people who needed them. I still hear stories and happy memories from his patients and friends. He was the dad who would drop everything just to come over to give me a hug. Man do I miss his hugs!!! I don’t think anyone is ever ready to lose a parent no matter what stage of life you are in, but it’s even harder when they are taken too soon. No one should have to experience this. Sadly a friend of mine is. Her name is Cassidy and her dad is losing his fight to a brain tumor. He was fine less than 3 weeks ago … now he is in hospice with days left. I’m setting up this go fund me to help her and her family. She is a mother of 4 kids and her husband is out of work right now due to having multiple back surgeries. She doesn’t know I’m doing this for her and her family. She has taken the last three weeks of work off to be with her dad … which I’m so glad she has done.. I want her to be able to keep spending ever precious moment with him.. cus well.. you don’t get those moments back. I know she is struggling, not only emotionally but with paying the bills too. I want to help her. I want her to spend this time with her dad not worrying about how she is going to pay her mortgage or put food on the table .. I want her to just be able to be with her dad! I know this is something my dad would have been so proud of me doing foe this family! This is the perfect way to honor him and help another daughter who is losing their hero! I plan on doing some kind of go fund me every year now for a daughter who is losing their hero! This is something I need to help my healing process and to pay it forward!
