In Honor of Maggie

Donation protected

One of the guaranteed times in our lives is to deal with the loss of a loved one. For those of you that do not know I was adopted and have had the great fortune to locate my biological family.  My youngest sister lost her amazing mother, Maggie to cancer.  Maggie received the unfortunate news of her diagnosis of lung cancer just this past November, beginning on immunotherapy only to have to switch to chemo therapy due to battling bouts of pneumonia.  After a recent stay in the hospital with another bout with pneumonia it was discovered the cancer had spread to her brain causing a hemorrhage and from there her health declined quickly.  As a single mother raising three children she worked hard to provide them with everything they needed, making it look easy.  Maggie leaves behind her three thriving and kindhearted children, Cary, Tyronne, Shanelle and her son Jaxson, Maggie’s only grandchild…..to her praise. Often managing our affairs in preparation for the end of our lives can be easily pushed aside when dealing with the here and now.  Unfortunately, Maggie was not able to obtain life insurance to cover her final expenses with her diagnosis of cancer.  This is a lesson for us all to make this a priority before the reality of life takes us by surprise.  Asking for assistance is not any easy deed, and I know my sister would not ask for help….however,  if you wish to contribute any amount it is greatly appreciated.
