Over the course of two days, it was heartbreaking to learn the devastating news of the sudden passing of Louis Torres and his mother, Lely.  As a long-time friend, I've set up this GoFundMe in the efforts to help alleviate the unimaginable pain and burdens for Louis' brother and Lely's son, Lloyd--the sole surviving member of the Torres family. Any and every gesture is welcome and much appreciated to honor these two beautiful souls.

Today we lost my little brother Louis. He was a generous and sensitive soul, who lived life on his terms. He, like my mom, succumbed to COVID 19. I will always remember his jokes and his smile, the selfless way he cared for my mom and dad, and most of all, all those great times we shared together growing up and figuring life out together as sons of The Iron Hand and our “slipper slinging Crazy Mother.”

Please post and share your fondest and favorite memory of him or a picture of you and Louis. I’m sure that’s how he would want us to manage. Louis would be embarrassed by all the attention, try to deflect it, all the while wanting to make sure others were happy.

I love you Louis, rest in peace little brother and say hello to mom and dad in Heaven. ❤️
