On 1/8/21 we were all surprised with the sudden loss of Joe Ortega. He was a man who loved his family more then he knew how to put into words. Covid-19 has taken so much from the Ortega family.
We promise to wrap his children up in love and always let them know they can count on us.
Joe’s fiancé Gabrielle writes.
“They say “blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted and supported in their loss”. Blessed are those who mourn. Those words mean something different to me. As I am here today, empty and mourning my best friend, I have to acknowledge how blessed I am. John Ortega meant the world to me. He was my best friend, my teammate, my home. He made life more beautiful and exciting.
Joe always pointed out the beauty in the world. He saw the beauty despite all the bad. Even in others, he saw beauty, He would look past our flaws and tell you everything he loved about you. He always had a way of making everyone feel valued and important. He gave amazing pep talks that made you feel better about yourself. Even though he would probably joke around and insult you several times following, he would always find the positives in each person. But that’s what made him greater. He kept us humble, and he kept us laughing. Always laughing.”
Any amount donated will go to expenses and ensuring that Joe’s children and fiancé are able to worry about healing and not bills.
We appreciate your love and prayers as well always.
Joe leaves behind three children, his family and all he has touched.
