James Daniel Farina Sr. (Jim) – August 19, 1957 - June 6, 2024

Jim, a loving husband, father, and retired police officer, passed away devastatingly on June 6th at the age of 66. He is now reunited with his beloved son, Grant, his parents, Rocco and Mavis and his brother, Dennis.

Jim lived a life rich in love and purpose. For 44 beautiful years, he stood hand in hand with the love of his life, Tina, building a family rooted in love, respect, and unwavering commitment. Together, they brought four wonderful children Grant, James, Shawna and Danielle, into this world. Through those 44 years, their home became a beacon of laughter and the warmth of a love that knew no bounds. Jim was a devoted family man, a proud father who cherished his family more than anything and never let a day go by without making them laugh, smile, and feel unconditionally loved.

Jim was born in Amarillo, Texas, and moved shortly after to Scottsdale, Arizona. Jim dedicated 25 years of his life in service to his community as a Mesa Police Officer in Arizona. His courage, integrity, and selflessness made him a true hero, not only to his family but to all within their community. After retiring Jim pursued his dream of a simpler, more fulfilling life in Missouri. His love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing, led him to build his dream farm. Jim’s farm later became a haven where he could nurture his land, animals, and spirit.

A man of pure positivity and a heart as vast as the sky, Jim was the heartbeat of his family. While he was the father of only 4, everyone he came in touch with felt like they were a part of his family. His quick wit created a laughter that filled every room he entered, bringing light and joy to all who had the privilege of sharing in his company. As the familial comedian, his jokes created memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

A true role model, until his last breath he led by example, teaching his children the values of hard work, compassion, and perseverance. His unwavering support and unconditional love were the cornerstone upon which his family flourished. His presence and intellect was a continued source of comfort and reassurance to all through life's triumphs and tribulations

Throughout his life, Jim was driven by his strong work ethic and love for learning new things. He was an avid cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. Jim loved sharing daily post of his culinary creations, beautiful sunsets from his farm, and daily pictures including photos of his animals. Jim's love for the great outdoors was only rivalled by his love for his family.

As a Christian man, Jim lived his life with compassion, kindness, and humility. He was a light of hope and inspiration to those around him, and his faith was the guiding force that brought him joy and peace.

Though his physical presence may no longer be with us, Jim leaves behind an imprint of love that will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his adoring wife, Tina, his beloved children, James, Shawna, and Danielle, his cherished grandchild, Phoenix, and his dear sisters Becky and Susan. His spirit will forever live on in the countless lives he touched with his love.
Jim's legacy will leave a lasting impression on all, a testament to the enduring power of love, laughter, and the profound impact one soul can have on the world around them. Rest in eternal peace, Papa Jim, knowing that you were loved beyond measure and that your memory will be cherished and honored.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jim's name for the Farina family in this time of need.

Thank you for all that can help, please keep our family in your prayers while we grieve our devastating loss.
