With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Jerry Sleuth. A hardworking and dedicated man, he poured his skill and passion into everything he did. As a talented silversmith and designer of intricate leather goods, his craftsmanship reflected his artistry and precision. He was also a respected foreman of a stucco company on the Navajo Nation, where his leadership and work ethic left a lasting impact. He was an all-star athlete in High School, excelling in Football and Basketball for the Ft. Wingate Bears. His love for sports continued into adulthood as he played for the Chuska Broncos competing in numerous Native American Basketball Tournaments across Indian Country. His dedication and athleticism often brought home medals and trophies showcasing his love of Rez Ball.
Jerry's charming nature, warm smile and contagious laughter brought joy to all who knew him. He took great pride in cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, a past time that filled many Sundays with excitement. Above all, his kindness, love and unwavering presence made him a cherished husband, father, grandfather, friend, and community member.
His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his spirit and legacy will live on in our hearts. We deeply appreciate your love, prayers and support as we navigate this difficult time.
Funeral service will be held at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, NM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00 am.
