IN LOVING MEMORY OF MELVIN,

It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone so full of life, love, and light. But today, we remember and celebrate the incredible man that he was.

He was so much to many throughout his life- son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. But no matter how you knew him, one thing was always true- he was beyond amazing.

He had a presence that could light up a room, with a laugh that was contagious and a heart that held no bounds. He was funny, always quick with a joke that left you laughing and smiling long after it was told. He was sharp and talented- an artist with his hands and his mind. From drawing and cooking to fixing cars and repairing homes, there was nothing he couldn’t do if he set his heart to it.

He had a love for animals, especially dogs (Bolo & Venom). He was kind, compassionate, and full of love. But above all, he was a man of God. His faith guided him, shaped him, and touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

What made him truly special was his spirit-humble, courageous, and joyful. Being around him just made life feel lighter and safer. Even if we hadn’t spoken in days, weeks, or months, every reunion felt as natural and comforting as if no time had passed at all. That was his magic, his love didn’t need constant reminders, it was always there, steady and unconditional.

This loss is hard. It leaves a space in our family that no one else can fill. But we will carry his memory with us, the love he gave so freely, the advice he shared, the way he made us laugh, and the warmth of his smile.

Melvin, thank you for being exactly who you were. We were blessed to know you, to love you, and to be loved by you. Your legacy lives on in our hearts, and we will forever miss you.
