In Honor of Italmar Chipani and His Family
After 31 days in the hospital, and 19 days battling in the ICU, our friends father, Italmar Chipani, lost the good fight to COVID-19.
He is survived by his wife Ida Acevedo Chipani and their three sons Italo, Daniel and Alex.
There has been such a tremendous outpouring of love and support for the Chipani family. Many of us wanted to provide donations so we are setting up this fund to cover funeral costs, medical bills and other costs and expenses that the family may face as a result of losing their husband and father far too early. The amount is just our best estimate at this time and may change as they have not yet received all of the final bills related to the hospital stay.
Below are some words from Italmar’s oldest son, Italo Chipani:
“Papi querido, you were my best friend, hero, and truly the only man I’ve ever looked up to. You had an infectious smile and presence that lit up every room you walked into. Loud and proud. You taught us kindness, compassion, and how to see the good in everything. Your grandkids will know the stories of the prominent man that paved the way. I will love you forever and can’t wait until we can grill some juicy steaks and drink some becks together again. Rest in paradise my king. The family will hold the fort down here, until we meet again”.
