In May, Kevan Sullivan was finishing his MFA in dance at the University of Arizona and preparing to start a new faculty position at Eastern Carolina University. The day before Mother’s Day, his parents were in a severe car accident that tragically took his mother’s life and left his father hospitalized for three months.

Instead of celebrating graduation and starting his new career, Kevan put everything on hold to care for his father, manage the aftermath of the accident, deal with insurance and legal matters, and support his family through an unimaginable loss.
