It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Hanifa Session, who fought a long and courageous 5-year battle with breast cancer. Hanifa was a kind soul, a deeply creative spirit, and above all, a loving wife, mother, sister, Nonna, and friend. To know her was to love her, and to love her was truly to know her.

Hanifa leaves behind her devoted husband, Cornelius Session, and her two beautiful daughters Jada Salter and Sofya Session. She was also a proud and caring Nonna to her cherished granddaughter, Zen Hopkins, affectionately known by Nonna as her “Zenny Girl.” Her family was her world, and she poured her heart into them every single day. The loss of Hanifa leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. In addition to covering the costs of her services, the funds raised here will go directly to support Cornelius and their young daughter Sofya as they navigate life during this incredibly difficult time.

Hanifa’s warmth, generosity, and love touched everyone she met. She will forever be remembered not only for her strength but also for her kindness, creativity, and the joy she brought to others.
