In Honor of Eric Maldonado

We come to you family, friends, community for our beloved Son, Brother and Uncle, Eric Maldonado.

The sudden and untimely loss of Eric has left his parents, Gladys and Hilton, and four older siblings, Junior, Maritza, Madelyn and Yolanda completely devastated.

Eric was only 35 years old, with a lifetime still ahead of him that ended too soon. We will never understand why he was chosen to leave us so suddenly.

Eric was so humble and kind to family, friends and anyone he met. Eric made immediate forever friends wherever he was and wherever he went because of his tremendous heart. Eric was a jokester and effortlessly always made those around him laugh. Not many people knew this, but Eric has his Bachelors from School of Visual Arts. He was Valedictorian from his High School and gave a heartfelt speech to his fellow graduates, family, friends, and faculty staff. Eric was brilliant and extremely talented. Naturally Eric was just a kind soul.

Sadly Eric’s 7 years of continued employment where he expressed loyalty, dedication and hard work did not allow him to be eligible for a life insurance plan.

We were not surprised of the positive mark that Eric left at his place of employment. An immediate outpour of phone calls and texts from physicians and colleagues he worked with reached out to sincerely send their deepest condolences on this tragic and heartbreaking news.

Many of you have asked and continue to ask how you can help our family during this tragedy. We humbly and kindly ask that in lieu of sending flowers that you donate to Eric’s funeral fund.

We all sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
