It is with complete shock and disbelief that we learned that our friend, Doug Yors, passed away in his sleep on Sunday evening. This of course, was completely unexpected and has set his family, friends, neighbors and the culinary community reeling.

Doug had a warm, gregarious personality and immediately put everyone at ease. He was quite a skilled chef and formed his own catering business, Posh Nosh, back in 2007. He was fantastic at creating lovely spreads for customers to enjoy, while they browsed clothes during parties at Emperor's. This eventually grew into a luncheonette and then a food cart. He was always creating new dishes and generously shared his love of food with everyone around him.

His wife, Lindsey and children, Stella & Eli, came above all else, even his passion for cooking. Doug adored them and it was a such a joy to see them all together. Their happiness and love for each other was effusive. Doug and Lindsey were such great partners and parents. It was clear that they treasured every moment as a couple and with their family. Doug's passing will forever be etched in their hearts and their loss will be felt as every milestone passes without him.

Doug and Lindsey have made such a genuine and gracious impact on all of our lives. Even though our hearts are heavy with grief, we're hoping we can all come together as a community to express love and support for the Yors Family. We invite you to join us, in contributing to help ease the financial burden left from Doug's abrupt passing. It will be used, as needed, by Lindsey and the kids, for expenses accrued. Thank you all for your kindness!
