In Honor of Carlos "Chivo" Gallardo

Hello friends and family. It is with great sorrow to share with you that Carlos Gallardo, better known as Chivo, unexpectedly passed away on October 8th, 2021, due to health complications.

 

Born and raised in National City, Chivo was a Sweetwater High graduate and a popular one at that. He was a big guy, the nicest guy. He made you laugh and treated you like family. Chivo spent his youth playing football on the streets, hanging out with friends, and cruising in his Dad's old school 1970’s Ford Mustang, blasting corridos. He was a happy guy with friends to spare. But what really made Carlos who he was, was his love and loyalty to his family.

 

Despite dealing with several health issues, Chivo never missed an opportunity to bring his family together. Whether it be a Chivas match, a Canelo fight, a Chargers game, or playing UNO with his babies, being with his family is what made him the proudest. We kindly ask that you keep his wife Laura, two kids, Carlitos (10) and Anna (15), his mother, father, and two sisters in your prayers. As you can imagine, they are all overwhelmed with grief.

 

Carlos was a tremendous father, husband, son, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by many.

 

Please help us relieve some of the added stress the Gallardo family is facing through this extremely difficult time. Every donation will go directly towards funeral costs and to his wife and children. We also ask if you could please share this page to further help the family.
