It is heartbreaking to share this but our family lost our beloved Caique Mota (my cousin) to an unexpected stroke last Saturday (January 13th, 2024) in Brasilia, Brazil. He was only 36 years old and he was a single father to two beautiful girls, aged 14 and 8. As the sole caretaker for his daughters and a crucial financial support for his mother, his death has left our family in shock and devastation.

Most of you don't know Caique- he lived in Brazil and had never visited the United States. Caique was known for his infectious joy, boundless energy, and unwavering love for those around him. He loved playing soccer, enjoying BBQs with friends and family and spending time with his girls. He lived life to the fullest and took care of those around him.

The pain left from his absence is immeasurable, and his family is grappling with the emotional and financial challenges that follow his death. His two girls will be taken care of by their grandma (Caique's mom). I am hoping to raise some money to help alleviate some stress in the coming months as his family navigates what is next.
