In honor of Bonnie Greene

It is with the most shattered heart that I am having to share the news of the unexpected loss of my mother Bonnie Greene. On April 23, after a 9 day stay in the ICU, Bonnie passed away at the age of 61 from severe complications of Crohn's Disease. Having watched her fiercely conquer this disease my entire life, this is something my family and I never imagined we'd be going through.

Bonnie was a single mother of 4 who wouldn't hesitate to tell you that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children. Growing up I watched my mother work tirelessly- day and night to make sure we never went without... even if it meant that SHE did. A sacrifice I could never understand, until I became a mother myself.
If you knew her, you knew the type of force Bonnie Greene was. You knew that no matter what battle she was faced with, she was going to persevere. And if she loved you- you knew she would always be standing beside you, ready to take on your battles too. Trying to imagine a world without her in it, is absolutely heart breaking.

I was a bit hesitant on starting this Go Fund Me. Mostly because I wish I could provide all of the funds myself, and give my mother the most beautiful celebration of life. After all she's done for her family, it's the least I could do. But the reality is, her children have taken care of as much as we possibly can on our own and there are a couple things we still need to do- and with very little time.

Thank you in advance for anything that you are able to contribute towards my mother's memorial expenses. The couple of things we have left on our list and are looking for some help with, are:
*We have 4 days to finish packing, moving and cleaning my mother's 2 story townhome. This will require us to get a U-Haul, some moving supplies, a dumpster and possibly rent a storage locker for 1 month (to give us time to go through her belongings- keep what we need and donate what we can).

*Everything for her cremation and service has been taken care of. However, we are hoping to have a luncheon afterwards and still need some help covering those costs.
Her service will be held on May 11th from 2pm to 4pm at the Wulff Funeral Home in Woodbury, MN. We are hoping to have a luncheon directly following the service and will update everyone with those details asap.

To her extended family at Great Clips and every single one of you that knew my mother and are hurting as much as we are:
I am so sorry for your loss. I know this has deeply affected more than just her immediate family.- and my love is with all of you, as is she!

Please see below for her obituary that will be running in the Pioneer Press this Sunday (5/7). The dates and details for my mother's service can be found on her obituary.
