Our beautiful friend, Roxy Cano, was born and raised in the Bay Area. Throughout the decades, we have gotten to grow up with her; we’ve graduated from San Francisco State University alongside her; we’ve had the privilege of working with her as a colleague; and we've witnessed the incredible love and humanity she brings to her students. Most fortunately for us, we’ve had the joy of her friendship. Through it all, we’ve come to know and value Roxy’s genuine, self-less, and caring character. In our personal relationships with her, we’ve seen how much Roxy deeply values her relationships. Even more, we know that Roxy’s family plays an essential role in her life. 

Recently Roxy experienced a great loss. Elizabeth “Betty” Cano, Roxy’s mother, was called to home. Betty passed away, peacefully in the presence of loving family members.

In this most difficult time, we would like to support her by collecting funds to help her in coping with this loss. We want her to be able to honor her mom and take the time off from work that she needs without excessive financial stress. Your support, however small, is greatly appreciated.
