My beloved brother, Antonio Esparza, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. Our family is devastated by his loss. He is gone too soon and too suddenly. He had just turned 39 years old.
For me, he was my little brother, my best friend, my protector, my everything. We did most everything together. We had conversations about everything and anything. We joked and teased each other mercilessly but with love. He was my rock and my strength. To his friends and family, he was kind, loyal, loving, protective, generous, smart, sassy, and funny. He had a great laugh and smile, especially when he felt mischievous. He was one of the good guys. And humble, putting the needs of his family and friends first.
My mom and I had not thought to set up a GoFundMe but have been asked by a few people about one. Expenses are more than we thought they would be, but we had been prepared to figure it out ourselves. But with the outpouring of love over Tony's passing, I have come to realize how many lives he touched, how much he was loved, and that he was not ours alone. If you feel you would like to give to honor his memory, then we are grateful. Please don't feel obligated; we know times are hard. We are also accepting photos, videos, or memories you would like to share of him to help us through the coming years without him. We would love to see as many as possible come to his funeral and memorial service.
Thank you, Barbie
