In Honor of Andrew Thomas McFarland, Jr.
The McFarland family thanks everyone for the well wishes and the sharing of your stories about Andy (Mac). Andy was truly, a great man. We will miss him dearly.
Those close to Andy Mac, knew he fell on some difficult times. With the Covid pandemic, work was almost stopped to a complete halt. We all knew Andy’s exceptional carpentry skills so not working just did not sit well with such a hardworking man. Subsequently, he exhausted almost everything he saved, just to survive. However;
The McFarland’s would like to honor our young brother the way he should be honored and remembered. With style, grace, humility and love. Best of all, we want to hear all the stories!
Unfortunately, Andy’s passing took all of us by surprise, and there have been no pre-arrangements, no life insurance, no will; and it just simply breaks our hearts. It would be an understatement to say that Andy did not like attending funerals, but he attended those funerals to honor our other deceased family members. Sometimes on behalf of the Andrew and Mildred McFarland family. Mary, Mark and I wish to honor him in another way.
We have set up a ‘GoFundMe’ page so everyone who had joyous times with Andy Mac can tell their stories on the GoFundMe page and donate to the McFarland Family to pay for Andy Mac’s funeral and interment expenses. When this epidemic finally lessens, The McFarland’s will hold some type of Life Celebration.
The page will be named: In Honor of Andy (Mac) McFarland
Again, Mary, her husband Mark, and I Thank You all again for the kind condolences. That meant a lot to all of us.
