Our Dad, Pablo Zavala (“para servirle” as he says) has always been the Hardest worker we have ever known, & many that are not his immediate family can say the same. He has been an Auto body technician since his teenage years & is his passion. Dedication to working hard has been his main focus in life. He is a Humble, Respectful and an extremely caring man. To us, his children, he has always been the strongest man we know, our Super Man!
In January 2024 they detected several Tumors in his Liver. My dad started to become ill little by little.
Doctors continued to do more tests & they came to a conclusion that he in fact has Pancreatic Cancer in Stage 4, not giving us a specific timeline quite yet.
My dad in the next few weeks was given time off of work so had been at Home patiently waiting for more results. One night he accidentally fell in his home and broke his hip in which he had to get emergency surgery. Luckily, during surgery everything went well, Thank god.
However, in the time being in The hospital recovering from the surgery, he then was admitted to the Grossmont acute Rehab center to fully recover, in hopes of improving him to walk and be able to be home again in the care of his Family
We have now learned that my dad has been given about 6 months-1 year to live.
This has been extremely hard & heart wrenching for our Family. We are trying our hardest to keep positive for him. Our dad went from being WELL to this condition in just about 3 months! We are holding our hands together as a family and being strong for the man who has always been STRONG for us. He has shown us nothing but to be Positive, Humbled and to keep our head up high in the hardest times so we owe this to him.
As we all know medical bills are not always fully covered. Our goal is to bring our dad home so he is comfortable in his house he has worked sooo hard for, while spending the next months close to his Family. He will need 24/7 medical home care due to his immobility.
We are here asking to help our Family with medical bills and expenses after he leaves the Rehab center, & for equipment needed for his in home comfort.
We thank you for the bottom of our hearts and even a Prayer will help in these hard moments.
