Dear friends, I’m reaching out to you to ask for prayers and strength for my niece Jessica, pictured here with her husband, Chris, who lost his battle with Covid this week. He was only 38 and would have turned 39 this Friday, August 20th. Jessica has suffered so much since she was a child. Her mother, Theresa (my sister), passed away suddenly at age 38 when Jessie was just 6 years old. Her absent father she learned, died several years later. When she was just 17, her 19 year old brother, Jake, drowned and our family was once again devastated by our loss and beside ourselves with worry for her. Despite all of this, she moved on and found Chris, love and life beyond tragedy. Several months ago, they were thrilled to be expecting their first baby, but no, she had not experienced enough sorrow the universe decided, and they lost the baby in April. Now, four months later, Jessie has lost her beloved husband and rock of her world. Thank you all for your kind expressions of comfort and support you are able to give to Jessie at this time.
