Hi, my name is Peter Jones and I am fund raising in memory of my late wife, Miss Ann Eccleshare. She was looked after so well by Christie’s Hospital for several months during October and November 2024. They spared no effort to extend her life even though her cancer was a terminal condition. I cannot praise them enough and it was a privilege to witness their dedication and hard work

Ann was the kindest lady you could ever meet and her passing has left a deep hole in many lives, including mine of course.

it was only after her tragic death that I was able to appreciate the huge love and respect held for Ann. Our neighbour fills up with tears every time Ann’s name gets a mention. Many of her former pupils now well into their 40’s, have kept in touch with Ann and there has been a clamour to acquire a token of her Mickey Mouse collection.

Ann even took on my beloved football club and I treasure the memory that they won the Premiership during the ‘season’ that she passed. Our house is now named ‘ANNFIELD’ in her memory.

She had a huge sense of fun; may be her best joke was when we were stuck in a huge Motorway tailback and Ann said ‘so this is what life is like in the fast lane’.

Ann was incredibly soft hearted. I could never watch films or documentaries where animals were involved; just in case something happened. I missed many a good programne simply because there was an advertisement for the RSPCA or Cats Protection, during an interval.

I thank God for bringing Ann into our lives. It is an absolute honour and a privilege to protect Ann’s legacy for as long as I can. Thank you for reading this story.
