Hi, my name is Kristina, and I’m a wife, stepmom, and a lifelong animal lover. Six months ago, my husband and I rescued a sweet, gentle soul named Diamond. She had a rough start in life, but little by little, she learned to wag her tail without fear, to curl up next to us at night knowing she was safe, and to trust that she had finally found her forever home.
But now, Diamond’s life is hanging by a thread.
While we were at work, the unthinkable happened — Diamond was viciously attacked by another dog. We came home to find her bleeding, shaking, and barely able to keep her eyes open. My heart shattered as we rushed her to the nearest emergency vet.
The hospital here in the U.S. told us she needed immediate surgery to survive — but the cost was a crushing $10,000. We were devastated. Out of desperation, we rushed her across the border to an emergency vet in Tijuana, Mexico, where the estimate is $2,500–$3,000.
We’ve already paid $700 to start her treatment, but we still need help to cover the rest. Every minute matters — without this surgery, Diamond will not make it.
Diamond is more than just a pet to us. She’s family. She’s the dog who tilts her head when you talk to her, who greets you at the door like you’ve been gone a year, who finally knows what it’s like to be loved. She fought to survive her past, and she deserves the chance to survive this.
Whatever you can give — $5, $10, $50 — will go directly toward her surgery, medications, and recovery. And if you can’t donate, please share her story with anyone who might be able to help.
I’m not the type to ask for help, but right now, my pride comes second to saving Diamond’s life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
