In danger of losing home, help us stay!

Hey, my name is Kyle, I'm an artist and aspiring animator. I currently live with my mother, stepfather and 3 cats in a 2 bedroom apartment in Ottawa. We've had a lot of troubles befall us the past week and are in dire need of financial help, as we are in danger of losing our home by the 23rd.

Last week, my mother had invited the wrong person to our home and they had trashed it and stolen valuables, causing everyone to fight each other, my mum and stepdad especially. She threw him out shortly after.

My stepdad has been doing horrible things behind our backs that we've only now discovered, and that has caused all of this in the first place, such as purchasing illegal drugs with money that he's stolen from my mum, giving keys to our place to others, and generally messing things up for us. He's been abusive and neglectful of her, even convinced her to try fentanyl and caused her to OD. I had to perform CPR on her and get her to the hospital because of him. If you want an idea of how much he's being doing this without any of us knowing, this is what I discovered in our place.

My mother is not a user and I know she wouldn't of her own free will.

Our landlord received multiple complaints from tenants about noise and ppl coming in and out of the building and issued a notice to us. We have to come up with the rent money by the 23rd or there will be a hearing which we will certainly lose, and we will be evicted.

Our main goal is to pay what we owe to the landlord in order to get in talks of what to do from there. This is the first time in our nearly 4 years of being here that we've missed our rent payment, and its because the money was spent on drugs and stolen from my mum without her knowing. We don't want to live like this and especially not with someone like him. Me and my mum are not bad people and we certainly don't want others scared of us. We would like to stay here as long as we can, and the goal is to keep us afloat and figure out a plan that gets us somewhere safe away from him eventually.

He's currently in the hospital for double pneumonia, so we're trying to do everything we can to fix this while he's not around. Any and all help you can spare would mean the world to us and it would be a big first step to better living.

The money would go directly towards this payment and nowhere else. Anything extra would go directly to an untouched savings account for emergencies only, because you can never be too prepared.

I've been a victim of the drug world for over 15 years, not by choice but the people around me putting me in these positions. I cannot afford to find a place just yet, so this is the next best thing for now. I did not set this up lightly, as I heavily dislike asking for money, but we've been backed into a near inescapable corner because of this man. We would be eternally grateful for any and all help.
