In commemoration of my best friend of 13 years, Felix.

Hello, my name is Niclas (24), and I had to say goodbye to my best friend Felix after 13 beautiful years, and need help to pay for his commemoration.

After the sudden passing of my first bunny Lily at just 3 years old in 2012, Felix came into my life shortly after, not just to help me cope with the grief and loss, but to become my best friend for life.

Born on Valentine's Day, he was the most loveliest and handsome bunny anyone could ever ask for.

So much personality, always friendly, full of love and energy, always happy to see me, always waiting for me to get home and spend time with and around me.

From cuddling or playing, relaxing with me on the bed, sitting between my feet when I played Video Games at the desk, he was always nearby and always fulfilled me with so much love and purpose, making every day worth living and worth waking up for.

We grew old together, awaiting me at home after school and later after work, by my side throughout all my teenager years, and later as I grew a beard and became an adult.

He was my source of healing, he was my best friend, simply my everything.

He was by my side for over 13 years... That is more than half my life.

He reached such a proud and impressive age for bunnies, a sign of his will and love to live, of how I've taken care of him, and the friendship we've had for over a decade.

Unfortunately no one is immortal and can live forever, so age slowly started to catch up to him. And as much as he fought over the years and continued living his best life, his body was simply reaching the end, despite still being full of love and spirit.

On Wednesday April 30th 2025, I had to make the difficult but right choice to guide him down the rainbow bridge.

He laid peacefully on his side, as I gave him his favourite head pats and kissed his soft, healing fur one final time. He lived a long, fulfilling life, and peacefully passed away with my hand holding him.

How much I would give for one more day, one more week, one more month, eternity.

In order to commemorate his life and the love he's given, me and the vet decided for the route of cremation, alongside a beautiful urn that will look exactly like him.

It felt like the best and most beautiful way to remember him, and the one to help me deal with the unbearable grief and pain the best.

All of that alongside other medical expenses ramps up to around 600€.

As I live on my own with bills to pay, its quite the number that I would struggle to pay on my own.
