Francesco vola a Londra per la prossima impresa solidale!

Il presidente di Isla ng Bata non si ferma mai, raccogliere fondi per le bambine ed i bambini che accogliamo è la sua missione e non conosce stanchezza (o forse preferisce ignorarla). È così che nasce questa impresa last minute, condivisa con uno dei nostri sostenitori e fondatori, Andrea: la London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025

Francesco e Andrea si incontreranno a Brighton il prossimo 15 giugno, in questa occasione parteciperanno alla London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025 una pedalata solidale a supporto della British Heart Foundation, che raccoglie fondi per la ricerca sulle malattie cardiache e cardiovascolari. Alcuni dei bambini che abbiamo accolto in casa famiglia hanno sofferto o continuano ad avere problematiche di questo tipo, pensiamo che la ricerca sia necessaria per avere sempre maggiori cure a disposizione e siamo felici di partecipare a questa iniziativa che avrà, per noi, una doppia finalità solidale: il nostro appoggio alla causa (le quote d’iscrizione alla gara andranno a sostenere la ricerca) e per chi vorrà sostenerci in questa nuova impresa solidale, un supporto concreto alle cure mediche per i nostri bambini in casa famiglia.

Un solo giorno di ricovero nelle Filippine può avere un costo che si aggira intorno ai 400€ (circa 25.400 Pesos filippini) e in questi primi mesi del 2025 è stato necessario ricoverare alcuni dei nostri piccoli per intere settimane, con costi sanitari elevatissimi. Vorremmo che il diritto alla cura fosse accessibile a tutti, ma in molti Paesi del mondo non è così.

London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025: Francesco flies to London for next charity venture.

The president of Isla ng Bata never stops, raising funds for the girls and boys we welcome is his mission and he knows no tiredness (or perhaps he prefers to ignore it). This is how this last minute undertaking was born, shared with one of our supporters and founders, Andrea: the London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025.

Francesco and Andrea will meet in Brighton on June 15th. On this occasion they will take part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025 a charity ride in support of the British Heart Foundation, which raises funds for research into heart and cardiovascular diseases. Some of the children we have welcomed in Family Home in the Philippines have suffered or continue to suffer from problems of this type.

We believe that research is necessary to have more and more treatments available and we are happy to participate in this initiative that will have, for us, a double charitable purpose: our support for the cause (the registration fees for the race will go to support research) and, thanks to those who want to support us in this new charitable enterprise, concrete support for medical care for our children in the Family Home.

A single day of hospitalization in the Philippines can cost around €400 (about 25,400 Philippine pesos) and in these first months of 2025 it has been necessary to hospitalize some of our little ones for entire weeks, with very high health costs. We would like the right to care to be accessible to everyone, but in many countries in the world this is not the case.
