In another lifetime, we'll meet again

Every parent wanted what is best for their children, so they care for that child inside the womb for as long as who knows when it is time the little angel will be in the arms of loving mommy and daddy. Nalee and Michael Lauj loved their baby girl just so much that they've been careful about their whereabouts, surroundings, and of course, at a time when we're faced with a pandemic. Even when their baby girl is still in mommy's womb, they were told about the complications their little girl may have, but they chose to give her a chance, a life, and have faith in god.
Madilyn Faith Lor was born on September 13, 2021 with a heart defect, a defect of what doctors believe Madi was born a heterotaxy, born having a situs inversus, mean her heart is flipped and her organs are also flipped.  Her pulmonary artery valve is completely closed which means her aorta artery is doing all the pumping. Madi will need to under go open heart surgery to put a shunt from the pulmonary artery to where it needs to go so her heart won't have to work so hard. Surgery day, the surgeons found bigger problems, two blood vessels that go to her left and right lungs were narrow. Something an echo machine did not catch. So the surgeons had to oversized the vessels, losing some amount of blood. And after all the procedures, Madi made it thru, recovering, smiling, her eyes open, and faced time with grandma and grandpa. There were talks that Madi will be tested to see if she can breathe on her own which means breathing tube will be remove, feeding procedure to start, and a long road to recovery that finally Madi can come home with mommy and daddy. Until the morning of September 26, 2021, Madi left us all. She is with god now, the angels came to took her to a better place.

It has been a very difficult time, Madi didn't get to come home to her crib, come home be bathe in a baby bath tub, wrapped with a baby blankie and fed with formula. She didn't get to come home to be in the arms of mommy and daddy, let her cry, sing to her and see she would open her eyes and hear a sound of her giggle. This is every parents hope and dream that their child will come home the next day or two after delivery, but it didn't. She had left us all. We will forever miss her.
