In aid of MND in memory of our Grandmother, Diana Lloyd
We are raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association in memory of our Grandmother Diana Lloyd.
On June 8th, Idris and Amaya (with their parents) will walk 28 kilometres from Tower Bridge to Richmond, following the Thames across London. We lost our beloved grandmother to MND in 2021, and we are keen to raise funds to help find a cure for others. Please get in touch if you want to join us for a section of the walk!
The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning. MND is a progressive neurological disorder that affects the motor neurones, (which are nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord) that control voluntary movement. It's a degenerative disease for which there is currently no cure and affects 5000 people in the UK at any one time. ALS and Lou Gehrig's disease are types of MND.
Visit their main website at www.mndassociation.org for more information and https://ukmndri.org/research/ for details on some of the research they fund.
