In Aid of Chere Pinder’s Medical Needs .

My Mother Chere Pinder has been a teacher for most of her life and always putting others first and giving so much to so many kids and her local community of Great Guana Cay ,Abaco, Bahamas  over the past years .
She now recides In West Palm Beach ,Florida .
     On the 15th of October 2018,my Mother had to have heart surgery at JFK Hospital in Atlantis Florida,in which her doctors performed ,a Cardio Ablation,to try get her heart back in regular sync as she was in Rapid Afib.To all of our surprise 2 week later the ablation failed.Saw her Doctor and he schedule her for another Heart procedure on December 5,2018,this time they will perform a Carbio Version on her heart.This is done by shocking the heart back into sync,which worked 68-72 beats per minute.Before her procedure her heart was beating 85-165 beats per minute,dangerously high for anyone.
   After we got a good report from her cardiologist we returned home ,as she was ordered to have aleast 3-5 days of bed rest.For the next three days All was well.On the 8th of December mid-afternoon,I had to call 911 for her as she was having trouble breathing,the ambulance took her to Wellington Regional Hospital,after X-rays results came back positive for pneumonia,as well her blood test came back showing her WBC(white blood cells) were in the 19,000.Thus they immediately started her on IV Antibiotics .For the next week and half she didn’t show any signs of getting better,her oxygen level kept on going down as the nurses and doctors  continued to increase her nasal oxygen,so they decided to put her on the highiest flow of oxygen they had called a non rebreather @15 mililtres  of oxygen.As her condition worsened,her case worker and doctors decided to transfer her ,as the hospital couldn’t supply a higher level of oxygen,above 15 mililtres ,so scary.So on the evening of December 17,2018 they transferred my mother to Select Medical Hospital off of Congress Ave,West Palm Beach ,Florida .This Speciality Hospital is only for ICU patients with Acute ,Chronic and severe Pulmonary And Breathing conditions .
  The next day my Mother started to go into Acute Respiratory Failure ,they put her on a BiPap machine for 4 days to force oxygen into her lungs to try avoid having to intubate her,because Her Co2 blood gasses were 84% and her oxygenation level would keep on desaturateing down to 65%.Thank God They didn’t have to
intubate her,my mother remained on the Bipap machine for 4 days after,they managed to get her back on regular oxygen,thanks to the iv antibiotics and the Bipap machine,She began making a turn around the next several weeks .As she has now been immobile for 5 weeks because of the pneumonia.The second week of January the 15th 2019 she was well enough to be ,transferred to a rehabilitation therapy facility in Lake Worth,Florida,called Avente of Lake Worth .Her Doctor’s ,nurses and special physical therapist worked with her to help regain and strengthen her body to be able to live a normal Life Again .They also incouraged her to walk with a walker ,which she hasn’t done in years .She remained there until the 12 th of March 2019.She returned home that afternoon of March 12,2019 Feeling ,Grateful,Blessed and Thanking God Again and Again for his many Blessings.
