We are 'In a Pickle Circus', a small group of emerging circus and physical theatre artists in our final year of training - and we are approaching something incredibly exciting and scary at the same time...
For the last 3 years we have poured our blood, sweat and tears into creating and pushing the boundaries of circus together - working on new, exciting and magical work to bring to the stage. Your stage. Now it's time to create our final project together, a touring show full of high-level circus, storytelling and physical theatre.
We are already underway with the project, putting in the hard work to make this all possible. But sadly, circus is a difficult art form to sustain. It’s beautiful, it’s demanding, it’s fleeting - and without support, it can disappear far too easily. That’s why we’re asking for help.
To help make our dreams a reality, we need support in funding:
- Materials and Equipment - to make sure we can perform high-level stunts both safely and bravely.
- Costume, Set design and Props - that can help transform our show into a sensational and extraordinary experience for our audience.
- Travel and Touring expenses - transporting our company, equipment, and set up to be able to share our creation with as many communities and audiences as possible.
- Production Costs - including rehearsals, technical needs and all the invisible pieces that come together to make live performance possible.
- Promotion Costs - in the new world where promotion and social media is so important, gaining material for marketing is an added cost
There are so many moving parts that come together to make live circus performance happen that we simply would not be able to make this possible without your help...
But, Why Circus?
Circus has a way of reaching people in places words can’t. It invites wonder. It builds connection. It lets us tell stories through movement, risk, and trust - stories that can really touch people.
But circus survives only when people believe in it.
