Kim Flores, is an enthusiastic and positive supporter of everything Lobo, mom of three and a beloved employee of Cisco ISD. Her husband, Paul, is a Cisco city employee.
Kim was diagnosed at the early age of 28 with relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Testing was delayed due to her first pregnancy; shortly after Brayden was born, in 2000, Kim was tested, and the MS diagnosis was confirmed. After delivery of her second child Katelyn, in 2004 more assistance was being required. Kim went from minimal foot drop to requiring the use of a walker consistently. Jaclyn was born in 2006 and to this day doesn’t remember her mother ever walking without a walker. Kim is currently able to utilize a rolator walker during the day, but tires so easily that she is required to use a wheelchair in the evening. Simple tasks we take for granted are the things her children and Paul are required to help her with. The very basics in life are the things Kim has to rely on others to accomplish. She has a very large family, a mother and sister who would do anything for her and her husband’s family who also love her as their own.
We are trying to raise funds to assist with umbilical stem cell therapy that has the potential to enhance her quality of life.
Umbilical Stem Cell Therapy has been especially successful improving the quality of life for MS patients. The therapy attacks inflammation, therefore significantly reducing pain, and increasing muscular mobility which are two areas that are huge obstacles in the daily life of an MS patient. These Stem Cells are harvested from full term deliveries of healthy babies.
