Hi, we are Charlotte, Amelia and Jordan, and we've spent the past two weeks volunteering in the most amazing community in rural Java, Indonesia. Our host family run their own village Kindergarten for the local children who would otherwise not attend school, as the socio-economic status of the residents means children are often required to work from a young age. Our host family and their daughter, Balqis, have dedicated their lives to helping the parents in the village to understand the value of education, and they provide so many different classes for the children and villagers, including Kindergarten sessions, English classes and Arabic classes.

Balqis is just 19 but her dream is to gain experience working in schools around the work, and gather the knowledge needed to improve her parents' school. She's just been accepted into her dream university in Turkey to study BA Preschool Education. She needs to pay the 10% deposit in order to secure the 50% scholarship that's she's been conditionally awarded - and that's where you come in!
