Improve the accessibility and safety of Masson Lees Quarry

Last summer, my father and I stumbled upon Masson Lees and were absolutely stunned by its beauty. When we learned the land was for sale, we knew we had to do everything we could to protect it. Although it was far beyond our budget, we scraped together funds, secured loans, and committed a portion of our wages each month to make it happen.

Since then, we've been working hard to improve the area while keeping it as natural as possible. With the support of the BMC, we've started building a ramp to improve access to the quarry, but there’s still plenty more to do.

Our Next Goals:

Responsible Parking Solutions – Providing responsible parking solutions to ease congestion

Rockfall Reduction – Clearing loose rock to improve safety for climbers and visitors

Ongoing Maintenance & Conservation – Hosting annual path clearance days to keep the site safer and more accessible

Woodland creation – We are currently working with the Woodland Trust to design a woodland and wildflower spaces, these will help reduce carbon and improve biodiversity.

We’re committed to keeping Masson Lees open for the community to enjoy, but we need your support to continue these essential projects. Any contribution, big or small, will help us make the quarry safer, more accessible, and sustainable for years to come.
