Impressions Design

Impressions Design was started by Ashley Hinds. Ashley has been a speech-language pathologist working with children and young adults with special needs for over 12 years. While working within the school systems, Ashley began working within vocational programs at the high school level. She became passionate about preparing her students to enter the working environment after graduating high school. However, this is where Ashley began to see a breakdown happen. She noticed that very few jobs were suited for her students with special needs, especially those who were nonverbal. This is where the idea of Impressions Design began.

Impressions Design is a company that prides itself on employing adults with special needs working alongside support staff to create quality t-shirts and other apparel. The working environment at Impressions Design is sensitive to those with special needs. For example, the use of dimmer lighting, a quiet working environment, use of visuals, and sensory breaks (just to name a few) will be implemented to ensure that all employees will be comfortable while at work. At Impressions Design, we will continue to promote the inclusion of all employees.

Currently, Impressions is looking to expand services while keeping costs down. We are looking to purchase an HTV printer that will allow us to print full-color logos on sight. However, for a new business, this significant expense is not in the budget. We are looking for any assistance to help continue to grow our mission and employ as many adults as possible.
