Impound Fees Threaten My Livelihood
Donation protected
On January 20th, 2025, I was stopped by the Wood County Sheriff's Department in West Virginia. My 2004 Ford Explorer was subsequently impounded because the officers deemed my tires to be a safety hazard.
I had an application for new tires in my vehicle, as I was planning to replace them the following day. I also have a set of used tires that I was preparing to install until I could get the new ones.
Unfortunately, the impound fees are escalating rapidly, exceeding the cost of obtaining new tires.
This situation has placed me in a dire predicament. My vehicle is my primary mode of transportation, essential for maintaining my employment and securing housing. I have been living out of my vehicle for the past few months, and the potential loss of my job and subsequent homelessness is imminent.
I understand that many people are facing hardship, and I am reluctant to seek assistance. However, I have exhausted all other options and am facing a desperate situation.
- Any and all donations will be put directly towards the impound fees .
