Meet Ghada Abu Samra, a 24-year-old Palestinian entrepreneur and community builder from Gaza. Ghada, along with her family, is currently navigating the harsh reality of homelessness in Rafah, struggling to secure the basics of clean water and food.

Today, we invite you to be a part of her journey towards recovery as she and her family need your help. Tragically, her home, business, and university were destroyed in the recent conflict, shattering not only her physical surroundings but also her dreams. The impact was profound—she lost her studies just one semester before graduation. She and her family thank you for taking a minute to hear her story.

Ghada is the founder of "Ocean and Waves," a venture specializing in homemade candles, a symbol of resilience and hope in the face of blockage, continuous wars, and adversity. She participated in the first Model United Nations conference in Gaza at the age of 16, graduated from the US program Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, and volunteered with the health ministry during the COVID outbreak and Palestine Children's Relief Fund. She had almost completed her Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia at the Islamic University of Gaza before the university was destroyed in the bombings.

Against all odds, Ghada's spirit remains unbroken, and she is determined to rebuild not only her life but also her dreams. Ghada needs help to cover $60,000 in tuition and travel expenses to move to safety abroad with her family to continue her studies and revive her dream and hope. The money will cover relocating to safety as the border passes to Egypt costs up to $10,000 per person, temporary housing and essential needs, tuition for her studies, and rebooting her tragically stalled path to helping her support her Palestinian community.
