Hello everyone, my name is Ana and I created this fundraiser to help support my friend and her family of four. They wish to stay as anonymous as possible.
My friend moved to the United States over 20 years ago with the hope of building a better life for her family and herself. She is a kind soul whose heart is rooted in community; always looking out for others and finding ways she can help.
Since the ICE raids started in Southern California in Summer of 2025, the family's stability has been shaken. Her anxiety is through the roof as she and her husband juggle the threat of separation and their need to earn a wage. She is a domestic worker and her husband a freelance electrician. ICE has hindered their ability to find new clients and steady work. They are having a hard time finding the means to support their sons, a toddler and a grade school boy. It has been an ongoing struggle to pay their monthly bills, and after nearly 8 months since the increase in ICE kidnappings, they have gone through their savings.
We hope that community can step in for these neighbors. They are in immediate need of $1,200 to cover the upcoming month's rent due February 1.
We are hoping that the community can help us raise funds so they can keep their home, feed their babies, and continue to live and thrive in the community they've grown up in. Please help these hardworking and kind individuals.
UPDATE (2/8/26) - The family is so grateful for everybody's generosity. With help from community plus some work opportunities, the family was able to pay their rent on time, plus their water and electricity bill. They are still working towards their trash bill.
From the mama in the family: "Big thanks to all the people who have been donating. It has help us out a lot by paying off our rent for this month and the bills we had past due. Thanks so much for all this. Amazing people, you guys are awesome. God bless every single one of you."
UPDATE (2/10/26) - It's been a really rough month for this family. Their food stamps are on hold until the end of the month while they wait for a 6 month review. With ongoing support, they are only $120 away to pay their last of their bills...but now they also need help with groceries and are asking $180 for that. The fundraising goal has been adjusted to reflect the $300 they still need this month to catch up and keep food on the table. Thank you once again for following their story, sharing, and donating. IT TAKES A VILLAGE AND WE APPRECIATE YOU!
UPDATE (2/22/26) - The family is asking for help one last time to help them stay afloat in March. Unfortunately, work has not picked up for the family's breadwinner. They need $1,000 more for rent in March, plus $264 for utilities. The goal has been updated to reflect the remaining $1,264 they are asking for. Thank you so much.
