Imogen’s Borneo experience of a lifetime
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Imogen and I’m 15 yrs old. I am writing this to tell you all about an amazing opportunity that has been offered to me to take part in.
During the summer of 2025, I am going to be part of a my world challenge expedition to Borneo in South-East Asia for 2 weeks of what im certain will be a life changing experience for me.
I will be part of a group helping other students and assisting with ongoing wildlife conservation . We will be trekking through the jungle, camping and living in the actual rainforest/ Borneo jungle and seeing animals like the endangered Orangutan ,turtles and local wildlife in their natural habitat, which is a once in a life time experience. Everyone talks about conservation and climate change but this is a hands-on experience that looks amazing. We are helping with beach cleans and night watch to help save turtles and we will learn what the locals
have to do on daily basis for the wildlife.
Anyone that knows me will know that It will definitely push me out of my comfort zone and teach me important valuable life skills: like resilience, independence and realising that we don’t need our phones or social media 24hrs a day. (Yes no phone or straightners for two weeks)
I would be extremely grateful for any support in the form of donations towards the cost of this experience. My friends and I are already arranging local events to fundraise which will help with the cost e.g bake sales, race nights , sponsored walks/treks etc. but any help is more than appreciated
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Love Imogen
