Immigration fund for a hardworking family
Donation protected
Ten years ago, Chris and Carolyn came to Canada with the hopes of building a life here. Their children, Caripher (17), Chris Jr. (16) and Christlyn (4) have grown up in Toronto and are honor students who are involved in their schools, sports teams, and communities. Chris and Carolyn run a cleaning business and work tirelessly to support their children and family back home in Saint Lucia. They are also active volunteers at their church in the music ministry and outreach program, which helps new Canadians get settled in their community.
Unfortunately, Chris and Carolyn had the bad luck of hiring an immigration consultant who mismanaged their application. Now, the family is at risk of being deported if they are not able to submit an appeal. The legal fees to file the new application are $10,000 – a heavy burden they have now borne twice – and this time they are unable to afford the fees.
The situation is dire, they need your help now. Canada is the only home their children know. Caripher is in her last year of high school and is excelling academically, recently winning a prestigious internship with Humber Hospital. She dreams of becoming a doctor. Chris Jr. was named MVP of his high school basketball team. He is a committed and excellent player and he has been unable to travel with the team because of the family’s immigration status. Christlyn was born prematurely at 24 weeks and still requires special medical care. Despite this, she has started kindergarten with her peers and is exceeding all expectations.
This situation has taken a financial and emotional toll on the family. To make matters worse, Chris and Carolyn’s family in Saint Lucia is struggling after the collapse of the tourism industry due to the coronavirus pandemic. If they are forced to return, they have no means of supporting themselves or their family, and their children’s dreams of higher education will be crushed.
This family represents everything we want in new Canadian citizens. Please help make their application successful. Every dollar counts. Thank you!
