I never in my wildest dreams thought that I’d ever have to do this, and it’s probably
the hardest thing I’ll ever go through... but, here it goes:

My family is about to be broken. My husband, an undocumented immigrant, was picked up by ICE and is facing deportation. We’ve been married 9 years and have a beautiful, smart two-year old son. We’ve tried and failed at getting his status adjusted. We threw away money counting on a now disbarred immigration attorney, so we lost hope in the immigration system. We decided to wait out the current administration and try again later. We tried staying under the radar but this last year was the worst. Now, I’m scared. My son, after seeing the ICE officers taking daddy away, was so confused and crying relentlessly. I work full time but do not make enough or have enough saved to cover the loss of Beto’s income and attorney fees. We are being quoted $2500+ in attorney fees and $1500+ for a bond, if he is granted one. The bond could end up being significantly more so my goal is not set in stone but it’s a start...
