Hi there, I'm Saloua!
I'm excited to introduce you to " The Immigrant Women Entrepreneurs Anthology" Coffee Table Book.
This book will feature the stories of immigrant women entrepreneurs, who came to the United States and became business owners.

The purpose of this book:

This book contains five purposes.

1. To inspire immigrant women to never give up on their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur in a new country; despite the adversity and many challenges they may encounter.

2. To motivate other young women to see that women have done the impossible before them and to find a source of inspiration.

3. To provide proof that immigrants are an integral part of the American economy with some states having more than 40 percent of new businesses being owned and operated by immigrants.

4. To educate Americans that immigrants can be more than just labor workers and include people with a high level of education gained from their country of origin.

5. To give the women who are featured in the book a chance to highlight their business and the story behind it. These women deserve to be highlighted for their amazing work ethics and trendsetter skills!

Fundraising:

In order to make this project come to life, we have estimated an amount of $5000 as a startup budget. This will cover expenses such as copywriting, book cover design, editing, publishing, and printing. (A full list of expenses can be sent to you upon request.) To generate the needed funds, a crowdfunding campaign will be created.
Anyone can donate any amount and anyone who donates will be featured in the book as a sponsor.

Any donations above $75 will secure your book +  your name & business in the book as a sponsor.
Any donations will have your name and business in the book as a sponsor.

Once the book becomes salable online, 20% of the profit will be donated to two organizations who are helping women in leadership programs that are designed for female immigrants or refugees.

Organizations selected:

1. The non- profit  Women’s Empowerment Program of the Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest  Refugee & Immigration Services- Phoenix, AZ.

2. Scholarship funds applicable to attend the  Immigrant Women Entrepreneur Academy at Ibaline Media.

About the Author;

Saloua and her mother immigrated to Belgium from Morocco when she was just a toddler. Coming from extreme poverty she watched her mother overcome many adversities and saw her fight to shelter Saloua from the adversity she experienced in Morocco. Thanks to her mother, Saloua received a proper education in Belgium and always dreamed to become an entrepreneur.

She took on the challenge and moved to New York City at the age of 20 with nothing. She had no money, no family and a poor level of English but her eyes were bright and her heart felt fearless.  She took on her mother’s strength and knew she could accomplish the impossible.  Saloua's mission was to change her family’s cycle of poverty, their mindset, and to change her family tree. She became the first female to go to college, the first female to move to the United States, The first female to run multiple American businesses, and in 2014 Saloua became a United States citizen!

Her mission now is to return the favor and help other immigrant women accomplish the impossible.  She remembers all the times she felt alone and lost. She wished she could connect with other women like her, be inspired by the stories of other amazing women who had successfully done it before her. The ability to reach women who have paved the way would have made her journey a little brighter.  Today Saloua is simply creating something that she wished was available to a younger version of herself.

This long-overdue project of highlighting female immigrant entrepreneurs in the United States of America is finally coming to life!

Thank you for your support.

From my heart to yours.

Saloua :)
