I'm raising funds for a close friend — a resilient and compassionate trans man who recently immigrated to Canada in order to medically transition. Starting over in a new country comes with many challenges, and right now, he’s facing a major barrier to accessing the healthcare he needs.

He is in urgent need of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and although he's currently covered by school insurance, it does not include gender-affirming treatment. His application for provincial health coverage (RAMQ) is still in process — a wait that’s taking a serious toll on his mental and physical well-being.

This fundraiser will cover the cost of one full year of HRT — including medical appointments, bloodwork, and prescriptions — which comes to $1250

Gender-affirming care isn’t optional; it’s essential. Every donation, no matter the size, helps make this care accessible and allows him to move forward with comfort and peace of mind.
