My dear friend and long time valued employee, Mariusz Szoja, has suffered a devastating blow this past week during the storm caused by hurricane Ida. His family's home in Hillsborough, NJ has been destroyed by flooding resulting from rapidly rising waters of the nearby Raritan river. Mariusz, his wife, and their three children are now going through a very difficult time in their lives. Where they live in Hillsborough, NJ, they experienced minor floods before but never as severe as this time. The flood waters rose to the point where they covered three levels of this split home sparing only one room at the very top of the attic level. Almost all of their belongings have been destroyed, from their cars to irreplaceable family keepsakes.
Mariusz renovated his house after the last flood during Sandy nine years ago but this time it is too overwhelming due to the extent of the damage. And with their youngest daughter requiring constant attention and care Mariusz's family cannot go through yet another renovation while being displaced for an extended period of time. Until the insurance situation is resolved I am pleading for all good-hearted people to send their donations that will be very valuable to this lovely family to help them through their basic needs in the upcoming weeks.
Thank you and God bless you all.
