My little guy had a rough day—he vomited tonight and has been extra vocal after a good few days. Out of caution, I’ll be taking him back to the hospital to get checked out. Hoping for answers and some relief for him soon. Thank you all for your continued support—it means the world right now.

Update on Gizmo 6/6:

Gizmo is finally out of the hospital and is now under the care of a specialty veterinary hospital. The next step is to identify the underlying cause of his chronic pancreatitis. Donations will go directly toward advanced diagnostic testing—such as an ultrasound, MRI, and possibly a liver biopsy—to help his medical team create an effective treatment plan.

In addition to his gastrointestinal issues, Gizmo is also being treated for severe allergies and chronic skin conditions. His care team now includes both an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Veterinary Dermatologist, as he continues with immunotherapy and other specialized treatments.

Hi, my name is Ann, and I’m humbly asking for your help during a heartbreaking moment. My sweet rescue dog Gizmo has been battling chronic pancreatitis for some time. He’s currently experiencing another severe flare-up and urgently needs to be hospitalized again.

Unfortunately, due to some ongoing family medical struggles, I simply can’t afford the upfront cost of his care this time—even though he has insurance that will reimburse most of the expenses. The problem is: the vet requires payment now, and I just don’t have the funds.

Gizmo is still eating and drinking—he wants to fight—but without immediate treatment, his chances drop quickly. I can’t bear the thought of putting my dog down simply because I couldn’t come up with the money in time.

If you’re able to help, even a little, I promise to pay it forward—or even back—once the insurance reimburses me. I just need help to get him through this emergency.
