Hey, my name is Nils. I am currently organising this fundraiser together with my trusted friend Youness, who is on the ground in Safi. Our goal is to provide immediate, direct support to families who have been affected — including food, clothes, essential supplies, and urgent financial assistance.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the beautiful coastal city of Safi on Morocco’s Atlantic coast was hit by intense, sudden rainstorms that caused severe flash flooding across the city.
Due to the narrow streets, the roads became a raging river that swept away everything in its path. At least 37 people have died due to the flooding, according to Moroccan authorities; however, my friend in Safi told me that there are probably even more deadly casualties. Dozens more were injured and taken to Mohammed V Hospital; several remained in serious condition. Homes and businesses were flooded, with at least about 70 properties reported underwater in the old parts of the city. Cars were swept away or submerged, roads were damaged or blocked by mud and debris, lifeless bodies swam through the streets, and many basements are under water.
The people in this city are the most loving and warm-hearted I have ever met. It is a tragedy that has destroyed both the beautiful old town and the people who live there. Thanks to the people I met there, we can work together to collect and distribute donations. The people there need immediate help, as further heavy rain is forecast for the coming days.
This fundraiser is not affiliated with any organisation. It is led by my friend in Safi and me to help people as quickly and directly as possible.
Every contribution — no matter the amount — makes a real difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign also helps tremendously.
Thank you for standing with the people of Safi during this difficult time.
We will give regular updates.
All funds go to Youness, together with his friends, he will help the people in need.
