We are going to try and do some "Stretch goals" here and extend the donation to $3700.
This will get school fees for one year for one more child at SPARKS at $2000

If we get more interest we will extend this to as many kids as people are willing to donate to.

Hey everyone,

We are trying to help Iminam Dube, who lives in Hillbrow, Johannesburg South Africa get the education she needs. Iminam is a bright young lady with a drive to get to university one day. Right now Iminam is attending SPARK school in Johannesburg who have committed to getting her caught up on with the rest of her classmates and give her the best chance possible to succeed academically despite all the obstacles she faces. SPARK school was generous enough to let Iminam attend despite not having paid school fees, but they do need the money to keep helping children with stories like Iminam.

Iminam is currently being cared for by a good friend and mentor of mine Nigel Brakens who runs an NGO called Neighbours. If you know me or my story you might have heard me talk about Nigel Brankens before. He is a social worker by trade who decided to uproot his family of 6 and move from their comfortable suburban life to live in most dangerous and unequal neighborhoods in Africa called Hillbrow, Johannesburg in solidarity with the poorest and most marginalized people in society. Their mission in Hillbrow has been simple: "Be friends to our neighbors, and good neighbors to our friends", and I have witnessed personally how Nigel lived out this sacrificial mission statement every day in his building and neighborhood. Iminam is one of those neighbors who desperately needs help with school fees to stay in the amazing school they have partnered with called SPARK.

Any donation you make will go to the Neighbours NGO is South Africa: a licensed, certified and audited non-profit.
We will also issue a receipt for each donation made, although it is not tax deductible in the US since it is a South African non-profit.
