Support Jason’s Amazing Heart

It feels very surreal and wrong to be asking for support on behalf of someone who is always the first to show up in support of his friends, but on September 13th, Jason had a major heart attack on his way home from a weekend trip to New Hampshire. At the time of this writing he is still in intensive care at Brigham & Women’s in Boston and is in the process of coming back to life. With all of the restrictions in place as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 emergency, only one person is allowed in the hospital per patient and they must leave at the end of visiting hours without exception. Since proper visitation isn’t an option, Maegan has been staying at a hotel adjacent to the hospital and has been first in the visitation line every day to be at his side for every possible second to hold his hand, play music he loves, and put the boys on speakerphone up to his ear. It’s not clear how long he will be recovering before he can come home, and an overwhelming number of people have expressed an interest to help in some way. This is that opportunity. Any funds raised here will go directly to the family to pay for any bills, hotel stays, and lost wages associated with Jason’s recovery. Neither he nor Maegan would ever ask for anyone’s help, as they are always the ones to bring comfort and happiness and strength and support to everyone in their lives.
