Dear family and friends,
I am currently a sophomore at Arizona State University. I am majoring in Communication with a Minor not yet decided. I also am in the process of getting my certificate in Civil Communications. The school has year just began and I have already had an amazing experience at the university level. As you probably already know, I was attending Chandler-Gilbert Community College while playing basketball. Basketball did not work out for me, and due to life situations and financial pitfalls I ended up going to school part time while working full time for Cox communications then later for the investment firm Vanguard.
Although I worked for employers with amazing potential and great benefits, I did not believe that they were where I wanted to start my career. I am going to use my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication to go into Law School after finishing my coursework here at Arizona State. I am aiming to earn my law degree and eventually pursue a career in Corporate Law. For personal and career development, the networking I make here is just as essential to my future success as my academic achievement. I have decided to join a Fraternity to help build my network and net worth. I did my research and found a reputable fraternity full of phenomenal men with great aspirations like myself. I see a lot of connections coming out of being a part of this fraternity and that is important to me. It is a privilege to be able to say I have been extended an invitation and am now in the process of joining this fraternity, but with any great privilege comes responsibility. To become a member of the fraternity, I must meet a financial obligation of $1,289 in order to join this community of gentlemen; so I am writing this letter asking for your assistance to make this a possibility for me. This opportunity is something that is very important to me and without the ability to pay my dues I am unable to join. If I am able to raise the money as soon as possible, I will have a reduction in the rate. I just recently got a new job that will work with my school schedule, however the down side is I took a cut in pay. That being said, I ask for your consideration in helping me achieve my goals. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at [phone redacted]. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
