Imam Abu Hanifa Institute - Students of Knowledge

Salam alaykum.

Ma’had Imam Abu Hanifa is an Islamic institute located in the Fatih district of Istanbul. It offers full time Islamic education in the classical sciences in a 5 year shariah course. This course covers over 40 sciences giving students a firm grounding in a variety of disciplines. Each subject is taught by highly qualified teachers, each specialists in their respective fields. The institute also offers a full time Hifz programme, and has produced over a hundred huffāz to date. In 2019 the institute initiated a specialist program (takhassus) in Fiqh and Fatwa, where graduates of the Ma’had can enrol, alongside any non-students who qualify. The course is 4-6 years covering the most authentic works of the Hanafi school, taught by specialists in Fiqh and Fatwa. Students will not find an advanced course offering specialist education in the Hanafi school to the highest level anywhere else. 

All courses offered by the institute are unique, which is why it accommodates for over 150 students in the shariah program, ranging from over 30 nationalities.

The institute offers the students of the shariah program full time education, accommodation and food - all free of charge.

As a student of this institute since 2016, I can assure you that all funds will be sent via bank transfer directly to the institute and will go towards students from poor families and teachers who are struggling under the current economic situation. Funds will also be spent on the running of the institute; including bills, fresh food, cleaning products, books for the library and for students, the maintenance of the student dorms, and other general needs.
